This piece is the first in a series of larger torsos. Some will be for the wall and some free standing. I will post photos of the new pieces as I finish them.
The imagery on this piece is done in relief by adding clay onto the surface of the body which creates a three dimensional surface. I usually carve into the surface to create depth in the imagery but this new method allows me to create more of a three dimensional surface. Fun!
